Frequently asked questions
Do I need a GP referral to book an appointment?
You can contact us directly to book most services. Referrals from GPs, psychiatrists, schools, or other healthcare professionals are welcome but not required.
Please note: a GP referral is required for psychiatric services.
How do I book an appointment?
You can book by contacting us via email or by calling the clinic. Our administration team will
guide you through the process.
What happens during the first appointment?
Your clinician will take a detailed history, explore your concerns, and outline recommended
next steps or treatment options tailored to your needs.
How long is a therapy session?
Sessions typically last 45–60 minutes, depending on the service.
Do you offer assessments for ADHD or Autism?
Yes. We provide comprehensive ADHD and Autism assessments for both children and adults
using evidence-based tools.
Can I receive ADHD medication through the clinic?
Medication can only be prescribed by our consultant psychiatrist after a full ADHD assessment is completed in Ireland, and the clinical criteria are met.
Please note: this does not guarantee medication. The psychiatrist will make a clinical
decision based on safety and individual needs.
Do you provide child and adolescent therapy?
Yes. Our child team offers therapy, Play Therapy, behavioural support, and psychological support assessments for young people.
What is neurofeedback, and what is it used for?
Neurofeedback is a non-invasive brain training method that uses real-time feedback to help the brain learn healthier patterns of activity. It can support improvements in focus, emotional regulation, sleep, stress tolerance, and overall well-being.
Neurofeedback is suitable for both children and adults and is often used for concerns such as ADHD, anxiety, low mood, sleep difficulties, and performance enhancement.
What is TMS and what is it used for?
TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) is a non-invasive treatment that uses gentle magnetic pulses to stimulate areas of the brain involved in mood, focus, and emotional regulation.
It does not involve medication, needles, or sedation, and you can return to your usual activities immediately after each session.
TMS is clinically approved in Ireland for depression, especially when medication has not been effective, but it is also used to support individuals experiencing anxiety, OCD, and other mood-related conditions.
It is a safe, evidence-based option for people seeking an alternative or complementary treatment to traditional medication or therapy.
Do you offer online or virtual appointments?
Yes. Many therapy and psychiatric consultations can be offered online, depending on the service.
Are the clinicians qualified?
Yes. All clinicians are fully accredited and registered with their relevant professional bodies
(PSI, IMC, IACP, ICP, NMBI, etc.).
Do you provide reports for schools, GPs, or other services?
Yes. Reports can be provided upon request once the assessment process is complete.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. The full fee applies if sufficient notice is not given.
How much do sessions and assessments cost?
Fees vary depending on the service (therapy, neurofeedback, psychiatric consultation, assessments).
Our admin team can provide all pricing details at the time of enquiry.
Do you work with clients experiencing crisis or emergencies?
We do not provide emergency or crisis intervention. If you are in immediate distress, please contact your GP, attend A&E, or call emergency services.
Is everything we discuss confidential?
Yes. All sessions are confidential except in circumstances where there is a safety concern or a legal obligation to share information.
