Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
ADHD is one of the most common pediatric neurodevelopmental diseases. It is most commonly diagnosed in childhood and can last far into adulthood. Children with ADHD may have difficulty paying attention, restraining impulsive behaviors (doing without considering the consequences), or be extremely active.
Signs and Symptoms
It is common for children to have difficulty focusing and behaving at some point in their lives. Children with ADHD, on the other hand, do not just grow out of these behaviors. The symptoms persist and can be severe, causing problems at school, at home, and with friends.
A child with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) might:
1. Experience a lot of daydreaming
2. Be forgetful or frequently lose things
3. Squirm or fidger excessively
4. Make careless mistakes
5. Take unwarranted risks
6. Have difficulty avoiding temptation
7. Have difficulty taking turns
8. Have a hard time getting along with other people
