Dr. Andrea Pousada-Fitzpatrick
Ph.D., C. Psychol., Ps.S.I Senior Clinical Psychologist Consultant,
Founder and Clinical Director of OMNIA Mental Health Clinic
Neuropsychologist and Doctor in Neuroscience.
Dr. Pousada-Fitzpatrick is a Clinical Psychologist, Neuropsychophysiologist, and Doctor in Neuroscience with over 20 years of experience in private and public mental health settings in Europe and the United States. Her background spans clinical psychology, neuropsychology, psychotherapy, and neuroscience, integrating rigorous scientific training with extensive research and clinical experience.
She obtained her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Psychology from the University of Santiago de Compostela and a PhD in Neuroscience from the Medical School of the Complutense University of Madrid, where she carried out her research at Hospital Universitario Clínico San Carlos. She completed a Clinical Postdoctoral Fellowship in New York, followed by a Research Postdoctoral Fellowship at Harvard University, working within the Departments of Psychiatry and Neurology at Harvard Medical School, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging, and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Her broad academic and clinical background in advanced brain research using tools such as Functional MRI (fMRI), Quantitative EEG (qEEG), Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Neurofeedback, and other Neuromodulation technologies laid the foundation for her integrative, innovative, and neuroscience-driven approach to mental health.
Her work bridges research and clinical practice, focusing on the neural mechanisms that shape emotion, cognition, and personality. She is particularly interested in how patterns of brain activity influence the way people think, feel, and relate to others, and how these patterns can be measured and understood to support psychological wellbeing and recovery. Her work also integrates principles of psychosomatic medicine, recognising the dynamic interaction between brain, body, and emotional experience in the development and recovery of psychological and physical symptoms.
Omnia Mental Health Clinic emerged from Dr. Pousada’s vision to bring this scientific and clinical integration into a real-world therapeutic setting, redefining how mental health is understood and treated. Omnia bridges traditional psychological and psychiatric approaches with modern neuroscience, enabling emotional and cognitive wellbeing to be understood in measurable, biological terms through neuromarkers, moving beyond labels toward truly individualised care. Treatment is guided by data and driven by the goal of providing long-term, restorative solutions, combining psychological care with cutting-edge neuromodulation methods that strengthen the brain’s natural capacity for change and self-regulation at the neural foundations of mood, behaviour, and cognition.
Dr. Pousada combines her clinical work with academia, having served as a University Professor in American and European institutions, and as a Scientific Consultant for the European Commission’s Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA), where she contributes her expertise to the evaluation of neuroscience and mental health research initiatives. She has lived in several countries in Europe, North and South America, an experience that enriches her multicultural perspective and understanding of how environmental and social factors influence mental health.
At Omnia, Dr. Pousada’s mission is to enhance her patients’ lives by fostering emotional balance, cognitive clarity, and inner stability. She believes that understanding how the brain works opens the door to real and lasting change, and that meaningful mental health care goes beyond labels to restore balance, resilience, and long-term wellbeing.
